The Times partnered with the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana to gather donations at a community event. Promotion included pre-event advertising and event signage.

MONEY FOR MUSIC



Money for Music is a circulation promotion with a local high school that allows band students to earn money by selling newspaper subscriptions. These 11"x17" posters use bright colors and bold graphics to grab readers' attention in school hallways and area businesses.

PCBA - YOUR HOME


The Porter County Builders Association works with The Times each month to publish Your Home. The piece gives readers an authoritative source for information on building, remodeling and furnishing their homes. In this redesign of the publication, the PCBA moved to an upscale, magazine-style cover, keeping the inside of the book fresh and modern with contemporary artwork and bright color choices.

BE THE CRITIC!



Be the Critic! is a readership program leading up to the Oscars. The newspaper partnered with a local theater to challenge readers to pick the upcoming winners. Ballots were published in the paper and could be returned to the theater or The Times. The campaign captures the feel of Hollywood with its red-carpet background and star-struck graphics.

ULTIMATE INDOOR GARAGE SALE



The Ultimate Indoor Garage Sale is a community event planned and executed by The Times. This annual event generates revenue through rental fees for over 200 booths and admission for over 10,000 attendees. The campaign's success rests on its bold color scheme and typography, which grab the reader's attention.

MAX MILLIONAIRE



MAX Millionaire is a readership program and event planned and executed by The Times. Throughout the summer The Times publishes MAX Millionaire money that readers clip and use to purchase advertiser-donated merchandise at a live auction. In addition to design work for this project, I was an integral part of the coordination team. MAX Millionaire generates approximately $500,000 in advertising revenue and brings thousands of readers together for the final event.

SHOWCASE OF HOMES


Each year, local builders participate in the BIA Showcase of Homes by opening model homes to the public. The Times publishes a tabloid section detailing each homes features and providing a map to each home's location.

HOW-TO GUIDE


The How-To Guide is a publication presenting readers advertiser-specific information on various topics. Participating advertisers contribute articles related to their areas of expertise.

PREP ATHLETES


Prep Athlete ads promote The Times newly expanded online coverage of local high school sports. These ads capitalize on nwi.com/preps two main goals: giving prep athletes the professional coverage they deserve and providing players, parents and fans with comprehensive stats, scores and standings.
